Depending on where you\u2019re going and for how long will change a lot of your equipment decisions. Here at Kool Dri<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> Rainwear, we\u2019ve found there are a few spring camping essentials you shouldn\u2019t go without.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Stay Dry with Water Resistant Camping Gear<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>As experts on staying dry in wet weather, we cannot emphasize enough how <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kooldrirainwear.com\/blog\/our-favorite-tips-for-keeping-dry-while-camping-in-the-rain\/\">important it is to have camping gear that has some level of water resistance<\/a>. From your clothing to your sleeping bag, you\u2019ll find your camping trip will be much more comfortable if you\u2019re dry. Here are a few suggestions of equipment we think should be water-resistant, if not fully waterproof:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Tent<\/li><li>Rain Cover<\/li><li>Sleeping Bag<\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.kooldrirainwear.com\/motorcycle_rainsuits.asp\">Clothing<\/a><\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.kooldrirainwear.com\/parka.asp\">Jackets<\/a><\/li><li>Backpack<\/li><li>Matches<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>By purchasing water-resistant camping gear, you\u2019ll be prepared for almost any change in weather, even if it gets cold.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Don\u2019t Rule Out Cold Weather<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Spring weather can be deceiving with all of the greenery and sunshine it brings after a long winter, but don\u2019t let that fool you. With the combination of rain, cold ground, and possibly even snow, spring nights can be dangerous if you don\u2019t have the right preparations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Make sure you have some <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kooldrirainwear.com\/motorcycle_rainsuits.asp\">all-weather<\/a> or all-season clothes to keep you warm. With wet weather, hypothermia can set in a lot quicker if you\u2019re not prepared. We also highly recommend looking into purchasing a cot, insulated sleeping pad, or something similar to keep your sleeping bag off the ground and to stay warmer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Protect Yourself Against Insects<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Luckily, not all spring weather is dreary and wet, so you can get out and enjoy camping as soon as it gets warmer. But with warmer weather, you\u2019re also going to get bugs. Gnats, mosquitoes, and flies are annoying, but don\u2019t forget that spring is also when ticks start to make their appearance as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Be prepared with insect repellent and longer clothing to keep you protected during the day, but also a tent or bug net to keep you safe at night. If you build a fire, smoke will help keep most of the pests away, but we find that having a netted shade tent during the day is excellent for when you\u2019re trying to eat or just enjoy the outdoors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">And Most Importantly\u2026Have Fun!<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>We\u2019ve all been there\u2014the rain starts, equipment breaks, and tempers start putting everyone in a bad mood.
